As you already know during these arduous times, many real estate deals are not done deals until the last pen drop on the last line of the last piece of paper of the closing documents has been applied.
The transaction process is filled with many more challenges than previously seen within the past few years. And as this relates to Selley Group, we’re no different in having the trials and difficulties, but I believe our group is uniquely different regarding how we handle even extreme challenges.
Besides the overwhelming challenges of outside market influences, many of our greatest challenges have dealt with opposing forcing of darkness, those trying to deceive us about the vision of God so clearly given to us by faith. “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18).
Our faith has been challenged on many sides through countless trials, just like many of you. Trials have forced our company to take huge steps of faith, such as following through on creative thinking outside-of-the-box when the vision was unclear, sowing hundreds of thousands of dollars into other ministries and parachurch ministries when it absolutely did not seem possible and praying diligently and with wholehearted repentance for clients against the recommendation of others.
From the path of least resistance, the world tries to encourage us to walk. But during these times, there really is no path of least resistance. Easy isn’t easy anymore. Sustainability is the new economy, a theme ringing within my spirit. It seems like the underlying meaning to be a part of a seasoned real estate group of faith does not mean to try to convert everyone, but instead, the vision becomes clearer each day about operating more fervently and with excellence unto God.
