Colorado Springs Realtors

Selley Group – Business Models

Cherise Selley August 5th, 2009

Since I’ve been professionally associated with the real estate industry for the past 12 years, I have noticed that many Colorado Springs Realtors focus on the volume of personal sales as their measure of success and recognition and often neglect the business portion about this vocation.

Many of the larger brand companies tend to create business structures consistent with hierarchy and centralized networks, meaning the larger the group, the more potential of profit eventually rises to the top.  While these longer-chained formations allow for a higher volume of revenues, still, there are significant drawbacks when referring to the bottom line.

Larger centralized networks tend to contain many subgroups, in which cliques of Realtors and associated personnel take on a different personality from the group autonomy that is desired by leadership.  Thus, communication becomes blocked, giving rise to increasing conflict and resentment between those of higher and lower influence.  The demand for increasing revenues breaks down from disgruntled members who flip-flop from one large organization to another.  After awhile, monthly desk fees and percentage splits become the greatest factor for employment retention instead of other considerable variables of company satisfaction.

Regarding Selley Group Real Estate, LLC, we’ve created a decentralized model with an expansion/contraction dynamic regarding sustainability.  With the decentralized model, multiple tasks get accomplished faster, more accurately, and member satisfaction usually ranks higher as opposed to larger-based companies.  The advantage of the expansion/contraction component allows for faster business maneuverability among the fast-changing realities of the Colorado Springs Real Estate market.

Our business model does not restrict the ambitious Colorado Springs Realtor from accomplishing his or her financial goals.  As a visionary company, we stress the importance of holistic living, personally and professionally, empowering each group member in his or her strengths.
