One might think the title of this blog will cause others to blush…Organismic…What does this word mean?
Basically it has to do with three pertinent characteristics that affect small group interaction, as seen with the metamorphosis of today’s prototype, smaller version real estate companies. Sex, age and health are the three organismic factors playing a significant role within the workplace today.
Specifically related to Colorado Springs Real Estate, I’ve noticed how these organismic factors are influencing some of the leadership among this next generation of Colorado Springs Realtors.
When evaluating some environmental demands that influence an organization’s strategic mission, such as the economic condition of the real estate market, client’s perception to technology and issues about time scheduling, it appears as if the female leadership command different leadership styles for decision making versus their male counterparts.
Running a real estate company in the 21st century no longer is necessarily dominated by male prominence, in which decisions are controlled by an exclusive group at the top of leadership. I’ve noticed the proliferation of women in leadership. And as Judy Rosener conducted a major study on organismic factors that is published in the Harvard Business Review, she found that “women, on average, exhibited and preferred the interactive style of leadership style, and men the command and control leadership style.”
As we’ve witnessed with the Selley Group, the Colorado Springs Realtor has more interactive style of leadership from me, leading to flexibility and the ability to acclimate in a climate of rapid change.
