Selley Group – Jobs…

Cherise Selley January 3rd, 2010

In an article written by Amy Gillentine of the Colorado Springs Business Journal, President Tom Neppl of Springs Fabrication reports that its company will begin hiring in January 2010 to fill its largest contract of 8.1 million dollars.

Essentially, Springs Fabrication provides biological filters that absorb hazardous waste at the US Army Pueblo Chemical Depot.  Springs Fabrication is teamed with the Bechtel Pueblo Team (systems contractor for the project) to provide advanced machinery to clean up these toxic chemicals.  The total cost of the project is estimated around $3.5 billion dollars and is to last about a decade.

For Southern Colorado and Colorado Springs Real Estate, this is good news because historically, the big contracts come and go, meaning the money doesn’t stay within the local economy.  But according to Neppl, this time the money will remain in this area.
