In my last blog I briefly referenced Greg Outlaw about his position with All About God Ministries, as well as mentioning his extraordinary knowledge about SEO and SMO.
He posted an article written by Benny Evangelista of the San Francisco Chronicle, entitled “Facebook directs more online users than Google.”
Apparently, Facebook now has around 400 million active members, 225 million of which have joined facebook within the past 12 months. The pace of growth is amazing, as well as its outreach throughout the internet world.
I know it’s difficult to make the necessary changes from standard guerilla marketing to SEO/SMO-based internet marketing. But today, Colorado Springs Realtors are faced to make some mindset changes about how to compete with lead generation and subsequent conversion.
According to Web measurement firm Compete Inc., “Facebook has passed search-engine giant Google to become the top source for traffic to major portals like Yahoo and MSN, and is among the leaders for other types of sites.”
The robot spiders who once only crawled their way across websites to read coding are now spreading their tangled territories to finding information via social marketing.
“People are spending less time navigating the Internet on their own and are now navigating the Internet based on their friends’ recommendations or their friends’ activities,” said Dave Yovanno, chief executive of Gigya Inc., a Palo Alto firm that offers social-media services. “That’s one of the big trends we started picking up on probably four or five months ago.”
Just some thoughts from Colorado Springs Realtor Cherise Selley as you continue to plan your business/marketing strategy for the future.
