I’ve somewhat discussed this before in previous blogs. Making changes is very difficult for most people. As for me, I sometimes struggle with change.
During this past year, doing Colorado Springs Real Estate is much more difficult than what I’ve dealt with since I became a Colorado Springs Realtor in 1996/97. In order to bring deals to conclusion, the workload has increased exponentially.
Please hear what I’m saying. I’m not adverse to hard work, but also, I’m not sure it pays off to work between 12-14 hours per day for much less money. Sure with success, one can expect trials. This concept doesn’t really intimidate me. Needless to say, I know that I’m being challenged to grow in faith and to the principles which I subscribe.
But today, things are radically different, in terms of the vast changes that we’ve seen over this past year. I think capitalism is being remolded into something entirely foreign to the small business owner. Additionally, I don’t see the hardships diminishing for the Colorado Springs Real Estate broker.
As this relates for Colorado Springs Realtors, I believe simplification needs to occur within the dynamic of technological advancements. Even though our company tries to keep up with all the internet and social marketing strategies, sometimes I tend to be a perfectionist with all of the other facets of the business, including the minute procedures.
It’s kind of like using the slide rule instead of fully implementing the use of the calculator. I recognize the need to do away with some in-house procedural policies, even though these have helped to build the foundation of our successful real estate business, is required.
Carving the extraneous portions of overhead has already occurred; in fact, this was done a few years ago. Now it comes down to simplifying some procedures so that I can do what I really love to do – which is to serve the client about Colorado Springs Real Estate, both regarding housing values, as well as entire lifestyle considerations.
It’s time to get rid of the attachments that prevent fuller satisfaction with what I do, even if the pay is less. I believe the paradigm shift is here for the business owner. So, as much as I do not want to make some changes, I am going to streamline some policies, which have been a source of security for what I do.
It’s hard to let go of the blanket, even when it means to grow more within the business construct.
Are you making any procedural adjustments to being a Realtor? If so, please let me know your thoughts.
