Doing what you need to do even if it feels like you’re walking through wet cement!

Cherise Selley October 12th, 2010

Today was one of those days. It felt like I was walking through wet cement. While the phones were not wildly ringing off the hook during my workday, I decided to dig into the messy parts about my business.

De-cluttering protocols, getting rid of unnecessary files and combing through inactive leads are just a few examples of how I simplified the dead parts about my business during an unusually quiet Monday. Perhaps Columbus Day and the nearby elections might have had some influence on the stillness of business today.

For those Colorado Springs Realtors who have worked in association with Selley Group Real Estate, LLC, you already know of our fine-tuned operations.

But to keep business operations running smoothly, it takes putting me right smack dab in the middle of the silent and dusty parts of the business as well. It takes removing obstacles that do not contribute to the precision of productivity. As well, simplifying helps me to get a grasp on a new vision for this next year.

Gordon already handles the bulk of strategic planning, but sometimes, it takes me getting my hands dirty to eliminate any feeling of heaviness so we can move forward with commitment and optimism. Basically, I do what I need to when it needs to be done, even if it feels like I’m walking through wet cement!

In a nutshell, as I put myself into action, then I move one step forward toward our business goals. Do you take similar actions with your real estate business, or for that matter with your life?
