Downtown Colorado Springs is thriving with life…
It offers a host of year-round activities as well as unique places for foodies. Experience everything from the award-winning Fine Arts Center Theatre to Epicentral which is a thriving downtown business co-op changing the entire work culture of Colorado Springs. From the diversity of arts and business to athletes, downtown Colorado Springs is also the home to the Olympic Training Center.
Need ideas for a fun date night? Check out the Rabbit Hole, or for those “Glutards” such as myself, Coquette’s is something special! If you would like a glass of wine in a boutique style movie theater, experience Kimball’s Peak Three Theatre. For people who are wanting to experience a night or two downtown, check out The Mining Exchange where the historic building of The Mining Exchange has been brought back to life in such elegant fashion.
Colorado Springs real estate downtown has some of the most “elasticity” of any area. The average home price is around $225,000 for all of the Central part of the MLS over the last year, and there are many nuances to the area where the homes vary quite a bit from the average in price. For example, one of the most expensive MLS recorded sales for last year was in the Old North End, a 4,018 sq. foot Victorian that sold for $935,000 this past July. There are homes for first time home buyers to move-up buyers throughout the downtown region. I love how historic homes blend with enterprise. Preserving our history while creating new stories is one reason why downtown Colorado Springs speaks to my own heart!
